Sittings, commissions, prints — and how each one works.

What I offer

Three ways we can work together — each one starts with a conversation, not a contract.

Commissioned portraits
01 In studio from €450

Commissioned portraits

A private sitting built around you — one lamp, a black backdrop and enough time for the posing to run out. Two final prints and the full proof set are always included.

How a sitting unfolds

01

Day 1

Write to me

Tell me who the portrait is for and what it should feel like. I answer everything within two working days, usually with a few questions back.

02

Week 1

We plan the sitting

A short call settles the where and when — studio or location, wardrobe, and how much darkness the pictures can carry.

03

One evening

The sitting

Evenings, usually. The first twenty minutes belong to the pose you brought with you; the frames I keep come after it runs out.

04

Within two weeks

Proofs & prints

You get a small, edited proof set — never a dump of everything — and we choose the frames that become prints together.

Asked before every sitting

I hate having my picture taken. Is that a problem?
It is the usual starting point. The sitting is built for it — no crew, no posing directions, and enough time that the performing wears off on its own. Most sitters say the hour felt shorter than they feared.
Do you shoot in colour?
Sometimes — but everything I make lives close to black. If your brief needs bright, daylight-flooded imagery, I will happily point you to colleagues who do that beautifully.
Can the sitting happen outside Berlin?
Yes. The one-lamp setup travels light, and editorial commissions regularly do. Travel is billed at cost, planned together up front.
How many images do I receive?
Fewer than you expect and better than you hope: an edited proof set of roughly fifteen frames, from which we choose the final prints together.
Do you licence images for commercial use?
Editorial and campaign work includes usage scoped to the brief. Prints from the personal series are editioned for walls, not advertising — licensing those is a separate conversation.
